Born in 1975, the new CEO Jung graduated from Gangseo High School and majored in German Language and Literature at Inha University. He joined Lotte Department Store in 2000 and served as Head of the Customer Strategy Team until 2011, working at both the Daegu and Yeongdeungpo branches.

In 2012, he worked as Head of Planning for Digital Park at Lotte Mart, leading work related to digital home appliance experiences. He returned to Lotte Department Store in 2014, serving concurrently as Head of Sales Planning and Head of Sales Strategy. In 2017, he was appointed Head of Women's Fashion at the Yeongdeungpo branch, and from 2018, he managed stores as Branch Manager of the Jungdong branch and Lotte Mall Dongbusan branch.

From 2020 to 2024, he served as CEO of FRL Korea, which operates brands such as Uniqlo, where he was recognized for successfully leading the business by responding strategically to challenging market conditions.
