Only 50 Units Worldwide
Priced at 478 Million Won
Mercedes-Benz Korea announced on November 26 that it will launch a limited edition model, the "Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition," in Korea, with only 10 units available domestically to commemorate the tradition of the V12 engine.
This model celebrates the legacy of the V12 engine, which first appeared in the early 1930s in the "Maybach Zeppelin" and has since become synonymous with the Maybach brand. Only 50 units will be sold worldwide. The domestic price is set at 478 million won (including VAT and reflecting the reduced individual consumption tax).
The first mass-produced Maybach 12-cylinder engine featured a displacement of 7 to 8 liters and delivered a maximum output of 147 kW (200 hp), enabling speeds of up to 170 km/h and offering powerful performance and elasticity.
This edition is equipped with a powerful and precisely tuned V-type 12-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 630 ps and a peak torque of 91.7 kg.m from a displacement of 5,980 cc. It accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h with smooth and stable acceleration.
Additionally, the model is equipped with a range of convenience features, including: ▲ electrically operated rear comfort doors ▲ active road noise reduction system ▲ rear-axle steering with up to 4.5 degrees of steering angle ▲ AIRMATIC suspension ▲ two-seat first-class rear seats ▲ executive seats with ventilation, massage, neck and shoulder heating functions, and up to 43.5° reclining capability.
The Manufaktur program continues the brand’s unique tradition of craftsmanship. The upper exterior features Manufaktur Olive Metallic, while the lower body is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic, with a contrasting pinstripe in High-Tech Silver Metallic. This painting process takes up to 10 days, which is twice as long as the signature Maybach two-tone paintwork.
The interior combines exclusive Manufaktur Saddle Brown Nappa leather with glossy brown walnut wood trim, extending to a meticulously handcrafted steering wheel. An edition badge on the center console adds exclusivity, while the rear center console is finished with a luxurious inlay made of 24-carat pure gold, showcasing the highest level of craftsmanship.
In addition, a range of bespoke accessories are provided as standard, including Robbe & Berking silver-plated champagne flutes with edition-specific engravings, trunk mats with saddle brown trim, and an edition-exclusive key box and keychain handcrafted at the Manufaktur Studio in Sindelfingen, Germany.
To celebrate the launch, Mercedes-Benz Korea is holding the "Mercedes-Maybach V12 Edition Private Showcase" at Futura Seoul, located in Bukchon, Jongno-gu, Seoul, until the 28th, where customers can preview the vehicle before delivery.
