DigitalBridge is a digital infrastructure investment firm headquartered in the United States. The company manages assets worth approximately $108 billion (about 157.7 trillion won) and has collaborated with global telecommunications companies and in the network and IT infrastructure sectors in North America, Europe, and other regions. Recently, DigitalBridge has been expanding its business into the AI and cloud infrastructure sectors by investing in large-scale data center design firms and acquiring global data center operators.

The signing ceremony, held the previous day at the KT Gwanghwamun Building, was attended by Woojin Jung, Head of Strategy and Business Consulting at KT, Taeun Ahn, Head of DigitalBridge Asia-Pacific, and other executives from both companies.

With this agreement, KT and DigitalBridge will pursue joint development of domestic AI data center businesses, cooperation on overseas data center projects, and sharing of data center ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) technologies.

First, the two companies will cooperate across the entire process of domestic AI data centers, from design to operation. They will also discuss ways to enhance the connectivity and stability between their existing data centers. Overseas, they will jointly conduct market research to identify new opportunities in the AI data center business, and KT will seek opportunities to participate in global AI data center projects led by DigitalBridge.

The companies will also collaborate in the area of data center ESG. DigitalBridge will share its ESG-related technologies and operational expertise with KT, and KT will review ways to enhance its AI data center operations and capabilities based on this knowledge.

Taeun Ahn, Head of DigitalBridge Asia-Pacific, stated, "In the era of AI, AI data centers have become core infrastructure for national and corporate competitiveness. This collaboration marks the first step in proactively responding to the AI needs of global tech companies in the Asia-Pacific region, leveraging both companies' experience and capabilities in the data center business."

Woojin Jung, Head of Strategy and Business Consulting at KT, said, "As the use of AI expands across industries and daily life, we are reviewing various strategies to secure stable and efficient AI data centers. Together with DigitalBridge, KT will actively pursue opportunities in both domestic and global AI data center businesses and provide optimal services to meet the diverse needs of our customers in the future."
