Woongjin Freedelife dispatched professional funeral directors to directly provide education, aiming to enhance the cultural pride of the expatriate community and fulfill its corporate social responsibility (CSR). The training covered the entire spectrum of traditional Korean funerals, including encoffining procedures, dressing the deceased in burial garments, and memorial rites, through both theoretical and practical sessions. Funeral supplies and souvenirs were also provided for hands-on experiences. In particular, the program was tailored to meet the educational needs of the Koryoin community, where the transmission of traditional culture has been difficult due to generations of forced migration.
Woongjin Freedelife also demonstrated its patented design service, "Hanji Royal Daryeom." This ceremonial service modernizes the royal encoffining tradition by using hanji paper hats in colors representing different religions, symbolically honoring the deceased with the care and beauty of a flower.
A Woongjin Freedelife representative stated, "We will continue to strengthen our ties with overseas Korean communities and fulfill our social responsibility as a leading company in 'K Funeral Culture,' delivering the value of Korean funeral traditions to the world."
