Win-Win Payback Extended by One Month...Up to 30,000 Won Refund for December Spending

Program Extended Through December to Boost Year-End Spending
643 Billion Won Paid to 10.89 Million for September and October

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on November 26 that it will extend the Win-Win Payback program, originally scheduled to end this month, through December to boost year-end consumer sentiment.

Win-Win Payback Extended by One Month...Up to 30,000 Won Refund for December Spending

The Win-Win Payback program offers a refund of up to 100,000 won per month in digital Onnuri gift certificates to citizens aged 19 and older. If their monthly card spending from September to November exceeds their average monthly spending from last year, they receive 20% of the increased amount as a refund. From September 15 to November 24, a total of 14.1 million people applied for the program. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups distributed 643 billion won to 10.89 million people in two rounds for increased spending in September and October, as of November 15.

The program was initially set to end this month, but has been extended by one month due to December traditionally seeing the highest card spending of the year and recent signs of economic recovery.

However, considering the remaining budget, the payback for increased spending in December will be reduced from the current maximum of 100,000 won to 30,000 won, and will be paid in January next year. For citizens applying for the first time in December, the payback for increased spending from September to November will be determined based on the December payback disbursement status, with a maximum of 10,000 won per month.

Citizens who have not yet participated can apply on the Win-Win Payback website until midnight on December 31.
