Daejeon City has developed a regionally tailored strategy for fostering its six key strategic industries (ABCD+QR) and will host a forum to build a collaborative ecosystem involving industry, academia, research institutes, government, and the military.

Daejeon City, together with the Daejeon Institute of Science & Technology for Enterprise & People (DISTEP) and the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT), will hold the '2025 Daejeon Strategic Industry Integrated Forum' at 2 p.m. on December 2 at the 4th floor auditorium of the Didimdol Plaza at KRICT.

In particular, as global uncertainties continue to rise, the forum is expected to serve as an opportunity to assess the competitiveness of the region's strategic industries and discuss future directions.

The theme of this forum is "Assessing the Competitiveness of Daejeon's Strategic Industries: The Path Forward." The event will begin with a special lecture by Song Wongang, CEO of Daejeon Investment Finance, followed by six sessions-Aerospace, Biohealth, Semiconductors, Defense, Quantum, and Robotics-in which experts from each field will present and discuss future strategies for each industry through presentations and Q&A sessions.

For the aerospace sector, An Hyungjun, Research Fellow at the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI), will present. In the biohealth sector, Kim Pangeon, CEO of Mirae Science and Technology Holdings, will deliver a presentation.

Additionally, the semiconductor session will be led by Choi Woojin, CTO of Panacea; the defense session by Professor Jung Yonggi of Chungnam National University; the quantum session by Kang Woosik, Executive Director of quantum company QNOVA; and the robotics session by Chun Hongseok, CEO of robotics company Twini.

Son Cheolwoong, Director of Future Strategic Industries at Daejeon City, stated, "This forum will be an important occasion to assess the competitiveness of Daejeon's six strategic industries and confirm the direction for future growth. We look forward to active interest and participation in this key forum for advancing Daejeon's industrial policy."

Meanwhile, the event is open to all free of charge with prior registration.
