This awards program is organized by the Korea Internet Communication Association and supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT, among others. It is a digital communication awards system that selects outstanding organizations in digital communication based on a comprehensive evaluation of the Digital Communication Effectiveness Index, Content Competitiveness Index, and other criteria.
BPA was recognized for its achievements in operating a variety of social media channels-including its official YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Naver Blog-under the slogan "Making Ports Easy, Communication Deep," effectively delivering the role and value of ports to the public in an accessible and engaging way.
In particular, BPA was praised for making port-related information fun and approachable for the public through content such as: ▲the short-form video series "Al.Peu.Sin.Jab," which presents port knowledge in an entertaining way; ▲"Hae.Ba.Yong," which explains port terminology in an easy-to-understand card news format; and ▲a webtoon series featuring the corporation's characters Haebeomi and Bbubbu, which introduces various port policies. These efforts have made information about ports-normally difficult to encounter in daily life-more relatable and enjoyable for the general public.
"Al.Peu.Sin.Jab" (an abbreviation for "The Mysterious Encyclopedia of Trivia That Makes You a Pro If You Know It") is content that provides port-related information in easily understandable short videos for everyone. "Hae.Ba.Yong" (a collection of terms for understanding shipping and ports) is content that explains shipping and port-related terminology and knowledge through card news.
Additionally, Busan Port Authority has gone beyond providing fragmented information by systematically offering in-depth, specialized information through its "Global Shipping and Logistics Trends" content, thereby strengthening both its credibility and expertise as a public institution. Recently, BPA has also contributed to raising brand awareness by producing and distributing digital goods (such as PC and mobile wallpapers and emoticons) themed around ports, expanding its connection with younger generations.
Song Sanggeun, President of Busan Port Authority, stated, "We have worked to make the somewhat specialized and difficult topic of ports easy for the public to understand by creating accessible content and improving our communication methods, and I am pleased that these efforts have been recognized. Going forward, we will continue to pursue close communication with the public as a public enterprise through our digital communication platforms."
