Gapyeong County's 'Baby Massage Class' Fills Up Quickly Each Session
Highly Popular for Promoting Infant Growth and Secure Attachment
The 'Baby Massage Class' for infants and toddlers, operated by Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province, has been attracting significant attention due to its high popularity, with each session quickly reaching capacity. On November 14, the county announced, "Word of mouth is spreading about the program, which promotes healthy growth for babies and strengthens the bond between parents and their children, leading to a steady stream of inquiries about participation."
Gapyeong County is operating a 'Baby Massage Class' for infants and toddlers. Provided by Gapyeong County
The Baby Massage Class is held 16 times a year-four times each during the spring, summer, fall, and winter semesters-for infants aged two months to under twelve months and their guardians. A professional instructor teaches full-body massage techniques tailored to each stage of infant development, providing dedicated time for parents and babies to connect.
During the class, babies experience emotional stability through the warm touch of their parents, while guardians can closely observe their child's growth and responses. The hands-on, practice-oriented approach makes it easy for families to continue the techniques at home, resulting in high satisfaction among participating families.
An official from the Gapyeong County Public Health Center stated, "The Baby Massage Class is a program that supports infants' physical development and the formation of secure attachment. We will continue to offer a variety of experiential programs that parents and children can participate in together."
