The Yeongwol County Public Postpartum Care Center was constructed with a total investment of 6.9 billion won, including 2.25 billion won from the Local Extinction Response Fund. The facility has a total floor area of 1,387 square meters, consists of three above-ground floors, and is equipped with ten rooms for mothers. The usage fee is 1.8 million won for a two-week stay. Mothers from Yeongwol County as well as neighboring areas (Pyeongchang and Jeongseon counties) are eligible for discounts.

The first floor houses the newborn room, while the second floor features cozy rooms for mothers, a massage room, and a program room. Yeongwol Medical Center, which was selected as the operating agency, will manage the facility.

Use of the Public Postpartum Care Center is by advance reservation only. For facility reservations and information on how to use the center, inquiries should be directed to the Yeongwol County Public Postpartum Care Center.

Choi Myungseo, Mayor of Yeongwol County, stated, "With the opening of the Public Postpartum Care Center, we expect to resolve the inconvenience local mothers have experienced by having to travel elsewhere for postpartum care. Additionally, by reducing the financial burden on families with newborns, this will serve as a major milestone for Yeongwol County to become a great city for childbirth and child-rearing."

Meanwhile, the opening ceremony for the Public Postpartum Care Center is scheduled to be held separately in December.
