This event was planned as part of Gangneung City's tourism hub development project, specifically the development and operation of products linked to the Olympic legacy. It aims to boost winter sports tourism through collaboration with Pyeongchang County.

The competition will be a complex sports event combining running on snow and mission-based games. The course will utilize Olympic facilities such as the Ski Jump Center, Cross-Country Center, and Biathlon Center. Customized courses will be provided for different participant groups, including adults and children.

Additional programs will include cross-country and biathlon ski classes with national team athletes, local food zones, and family rest areas.

Choi Sunghyun, CEO of the Gangwon Tourism Foundation, stated, "The purpose of this project is to provide the public with accessible winter sports experiences in Gangwon by utilizing the Olympic legacy. We will continue to discover regionally specialized tourism content based on the Olympic legacy and contribute to revitalizing local tourism."
