The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 14th that it held a 'Venture Capital Meeting to Revitalize Private Follow-up Investment' at the JW Marriott in Seocho-gu, Seoul, on the 13th.


The corporation provides growth-sharing loans that combine investment elements with financing for promising small and medium-sized enterprises, supporting their direct entry into the financial market and scaling up. This meeting was organized to promote private follow-up investments for the corporation's portfolio companies and to strengthen the foundation for information sharing and cooperation between the public and private sectors. More than 20 private investors, including venture capitalists interested in companies invested in by the corporation, attended the event.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on topics such as the role of the public sector in the investment market, strategies for public-private investment cooperation, and policy support measures to enhance corporate value and attract follow-up investments.


The corporation disclosed its investment portfolio and the current status of its companies, while also confirming the intention of private investors to participate. In addition, it introduced promising companies that received new investments this year and shared information to help ensure that companies proactively discovered by the corporation could attract private follow-up investments.


The corporation expects that this meeting will improve access to information about investee companies and help facilitate the inflow of private capital.


Roh Taegyun, Head of Convergence Finance at the corporation, stated, "We will continue to strengthen information exchange and cooperation to solidify our role as a catalyst for investment in small and medium-sized enterprises."
