The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a School Arts Education Expo to foster the harmonious growth of students' creativity and emotional sensitivity.

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education will host the "2025 9th School Arts Education Expo" at the National Science Museum from November 20 to 22.

This expo, now in its ninth year, is a flagship school arts education festival. Under the theme "Joyful Learning and Sharing: Emotional Explosion in Daejeon School Arts Education," it has developed into a venue where students, teachers, and the local community come together each year to celebrate arts education.

The event aims to share the achievements of school arts education and facilitate communication with the local community. It focuses on enhancing students' artistic sensitivity and nurturing their creative expression and artistic empathy through hands-on and practical arts activities.

This year’s expo will open with a ceremony at 2 p.m. on November 20. A total of 123 student and teacher clubs, along with local artists, will participate, presenting a variety of programs including choir, Western music, Korean traditional music, band, and musical performances, as well as art exhibitions and interactive booths.

Additionally, through the "Video ON" program on the Daejeon Education Portal, anyone can view videos of arts activities provided directly by schools at any time until December 20.

In particular, four teams-including local arts institutions and Daejeon Neulbom School community partners-will participate in the interactive booths, offering high-quality arts experience programs. This will provide students with opportunities to develop their artistic sensitivity and creativity both inside and outside of school.

Kim Heejung, Director of Physical Education, Arts, and Health at the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "The School Arts Education Expo is an educational venue that fosters the harmonious growth of students' creativity and emotional sensitivity," adding, "We will continue to promote systematic and sustainable school arts education so that the arts become a vital force in students' lives and learning, establishing themselves as an important pillar of education in Daejeon."
