Park Doohyung, Chairman of Yeoju City Council, Receives 'Legislative Service Award' for Citizen-Centered Legislative Activities

Park Doohyung, chairman of the Yeoju City Council in Gyeonggi Province, received the 'Legislative Service Award' in recognition of his contributions to the development of local legislation and citizen-centered legislative activities at the '2025 Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Unity Sports Festival,' hosted by the Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Chairpersons Association and held on the 7th at Dongducheon Sports Complex.

This Unity Sports Festival was organized by the Gyeonggi Province City and County Council Chairpersons Association and hosted by the Dongducheon City Council. The event was attended by more than 500 people, including the chairpersons and council members of the 31 city and county councils in Gyeonggi Province, as well as staff from the council secretariats, who strengthened cooperation and unity among local councils.

Chairman Park Doohyung has consistently carried out communication-focused legislative activities under the slogan, "Yeoju City Council that gives hope and is loved by citizens," by listening directly to citizens' voices on-site and working to resolve local issues.

He has also continued to promote policies aimed at improving citizens' welfare and advancing regional development, taking the lead in enhancing the status of the Yeoju City Council.

Chairman Park stated, "I believe this Legislative Service Award is not a personal achievement, but the result of the trust and support of our citizens," adding, "I will continue to communicate more closely from the citizens' perspective and dedicate myself to legislative activities for the development of Yeoju City and the happiness of its residents."

The Yeoju City Council plans to use this award as an opportunity to more actively reflect citizens' opinions in policy and to work harder to realize an open council that grows together with the local community.
