"Back to Square One"... Hanwha Ocean Holds 'Safety Innovation Proclamation Ceremony' Hanwha Ocean is holding the 'Safety Innovation Declaration Ceremony'.

At the ceremony, CEO Kim Heecheol, along with executives, employees, and representatives from partner companies, reaffirmed their collective commitment to break away from conventional practices and to 'reset' and 'restart' all aspects related to safety.

With this proclamation, Hanwha Ocean will launch 20 major safety innovation initiatives spanning systems, policies, and personnel, and plans to strengthen practical, action-oriented safety management involving all employees and partner companies.

In terms of policy innovation, the company will establish an effectiveness-focused operating system by strengthening the linkage between safety compliance motivation measures and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), advancing safety management for partner companies, and boldly eliminating formalistic systems and procedures.

For system innovation, Hanwha Ocean will focus on 'Safe Guard 119,' a process for preventing serious accidents, and will implement measures such as introducing a safety system accountability program, building a mobile safety management system, and enhancing accident investigation processes, with the goal of eradicating recurring accidents and advancing prevention systems.

People-centered innovation will focus on strengthening safety capabilities by rank and function, expanding training for foreign workers and partner companies, and promoting joint labor-management safety innovation, with the ultimate goal of embedding a safety culture throughout the organization.

Hanwha Ocean will also continue its improvement efforts to raise its ISRS (International Safety Rating System) grade from Norway's DNV, aiming to achieve the highest level of safety rating in the manufacturing sector by 2030.

During the event, all employees and partner company members wrote their own 'Safety Pledge.' These pledges will be collected to create a '30,000 Pledges' sculpture, which will serve as a daily reminder of the company's commitment to safety innovation at the workplace.

CEO Kim Heecheol emphasized, "Now is the time to abandon the complacency and inertia of compromise regarding safety that remain deep in our hearts. As CEO, I will take full responsibility to ensure that we re-examine safety from the ground up and that our steps toward innovation are fully realized at the worksite."
