The total budget for the selected projects amounts to 3.988 billion won (111 projects), consisting of 588 million won (15 projects) for county administration participatory proposals and 3.4 billion won (96 projects) for regional participatory proposals. These projects are planned to be included in Yangpyeong County’s main budget proposal for 2026.

From April to June, the county solicited proposals for the resident participatory budget, receiving a total of 198 submissions-30 for county administration participatory projects and 168 for regional participatory projects. The submitted proposals included public interest projects aimed at resolving everyday inconveniences, ensuring safety, addressing issues reflecting local characteristics, and improving community welfare.

The proposed projects underwent feasibility reviews by relevant departments and towns, as well as deliberation by the Resident Participatory Budget Committee. At the '2025 Yangpyeong County Resident Participatory Budget Committee General Assembly' held on November 3, a total of 111 projects were ultimately selected.

Governor Jeon Jinseon stated, "Thanks to the strong interest and participation of our residents, the resident participatory budgeting process was successfully completed. We will continue to actively communicate to ensure that residents’ voices are reflected in our policies and do our utmost to operate the participatory budgeting system."

The resident participatory budgeting system is a mechanism that realizes fiscal democracy by incorporating residents’ opinions into the budget formulation process. Yangpyeong County has actively encouraged resident participation through budget education programs and public calls for project proposals. In addition to major proposal periods, residents can submit project suggestions at any time through the Yangpyeong County Office website (Notice Board > Resident Participatory Budget System).
