Hanwha Life announced on November 12 that it is hosting a financial innovation training program in Korea for 30 outstanding fintech talents selected in Vietnam, as part of its global corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, 'FuturePlus.'
The invitation training is being held over five days and four nights, from November 10 to November 14, at the Hanwha Life headquarters in the 63 Building, the Hanwha Life training center 'LIFE PARK,' and Dreamplus Gangnam, among other locations.
The invited participants include award winners from the Vietnam Informatics Olympiad, top-performing students from the fintech department at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), scholarship students from the finance and ICT department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), and outstanding members of the Ho Chi Minh City finance mentor group, totaling 30 individuals.

The participants began with a welcome ceremony at the 63 Building in Yeouido, Seoul, and visited 'Dreamplus Gangnam,' Hanwha Life's open innovation platform, where they experienced the domestic startup ecosystem and fintech innovation firsthand. They also attended lectures on the latest financial technology trends, such as 'Insurance Service Innovation Using AI' and 'Future Prospects of Insurtech in the Financial Market,' presented by Hanwha Life's AI division and external experts.
They will visit Korea University and Sogang University, where they will have opportunities for academic inspiration through special lectures by Kim Jangho, Professor at Korea University's Graduate School of Management of Technology, and Jung Yooshin, Professor at Sogang University School of Business, as well as campus tours. In the latter part of the training, the 'A Night of FuturePlus' program will allow participants to share their experiences and discuss the future direction of fintech development in Vietnam.
This invitation training is part of the 'FuturePlus' program, which Hanwha Life has been implementing in Vietnam since last year in cooperation with local universities, government agencies, and organizations such as ChildFund Korea, to foster financial and ICT talent and improve financial literacy in local communities.
Through the FuturePlus initiative, Hanwha Life has established a virtuous cycle that enables local youth to build global financial competencies and, in the long term, contribute to improving financial literacy and developing the fintech industry in their communities. Last year, the company launched a fintech major at VKU in Vietnam, sponsored the Vietnam Informatics Olympiad (including the establishment of an AI track), and has continued to run various talent development and community financial literacy programs, such as training financial mentors.
Lim Seokhyun, Head of Planning at Hanwha Life, stated, "We hope this invitation training provides outstanding local fintech talents with valuable opportunities for practical growth, such as employment and entrepreneurship. We will continue to support young people so that those who grow through learning can contribute to improving financial literacy in their communities."
