Seongnam City Expands Free Interview Suit Rental for Youth to Five Times Per Year

Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor: Shin Sangjin) is expanding its 'Youth Free Interview Suit Rental Program' to support young job seekers taking their first steps into society and to ease their financial burden as they prepare for employment.

As demand for interview suit rentals among young job seekers has steadily increased, the city has increased its budget and the number of available rentals, enabling more young people to benefit from the program.

This program targets Seongnam residents aged 18 to 39 who are preparing for job interviews. Participants can rent a complete set of interview attire-including jackets, pants, skirts, shirts, blouses, neckties, belts, and shoes-free of charge up to five times per year, for three nights and four days each time.

First-time users must visit the Seongnam City Job Center on the second floor of Seongnam City Hall to fill out an application and verify their identity. From the second use onward, users can make online reservations through the Seongnam City Job Center website and then visit the designated rental company.

There are two rental companies: 'Swan J' near Pangyo Station and 'Open Closet' near Konkuk University Entrance Station. Users are free to choose based on their place of residence or convenience of travel.

Through this program expansion, the city plans to continue providing practical support so that young people can prepare for interviews without financial burden and confidently pursue employment opportunities.

As of the end of October this year, the Seongnam City interview suit rental program has served approximately 950 users, with a cumulative total of about 1,400 rentals, receiving a strong response from the youth. The city will continue to monitor demand and satisfaction to flexibly adjust the scale of the program as needed.
