Yulchon LLC announced on the 12th that Attorney Lee received the 'Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year' award at the 'ALB Korea Law Awards 2025.' The ALB Korea Law Awards are organized by Asian Legal Business (ALB), a subsidiary of the Thomson Reuters Group. Attorney Lee was honored for his outstanding achievements in lawsuits involving major conglomerate leaders and complex corporate disputes.

A former judge, Attorney Lee successfully represented Korea Zinc in a provisional injunction lawsuit regarding voting rights at the regular shareholders' meeting against Young Poong. He has also handled major cases, such as the inheritance recovery lawsuit of LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo.

Notably, Attorney Lee recently overturned a second-instance court ruling that required Chairman Chey to divide 1.3808 trillion won in assets with Director Noh upon their divorce, securing a Supreme Court remand in favor of Chairman Chey. Alongside Attorney Lee, other Yulchon LLC attorneys-including Min Cheolgi (Class 29), Kim Sungwoo (Class 31), and Lee Seungho (Class 31)-were also listed as counsel for Chairman Chey from the Supreme Court stage. Hong Seungmyeon (Class 18), who previously served as Chief Judicial Research Officer at the Supreme Court and Director of Judicial Support at the National Court Administration, also participated in the case. After a fierce legal battle, the case was sent back for further judicial review.

Attorney Lee stated, "As lawsuits become increasingly complex, expertise and strategic thinking to persuade the court are essential," adding, "I believe that the ability to systematically collect, analyze, and reorganize vast amounts of information to create new contexts is the core competitive edge in dispute resolution." He continued, "This award is the result of the dedication, collaboration, and expertise of the entire Yulchon Litigation Group. We will continue to strive to provide solutions that address not only simple victories but also our clients' realities and reputations, and to deliver globally competitive legal services."
