This initiative was organized to establish a cooperative framework among public institutions, centered around the Daejeon Regional Social Contribution Council, and to address local issues together. A total of 70 executives and employees from four organizations-including the Small Enterprise and Market Service, Korea Minting, Security Printing & ID Card Operating Corporation, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Fuel, and Korea Gas Technology Corporation-participated to support three centers for vulnerable groups in Daejeon.
The volunteer activities consisted of three programs: 'O-World Outing with Children,' 'Sharing Snacks with Daejeon Migrant Women’s Shelter,' and 'Helping Hands at Daejeon Mushroom Farms and Delivering Support to Disability Welfare Centers.' In particular, the O-World outing was organized as a participatory volunteer activity, with the destination selected based on the opinions and needs of children at local child centers, reflecting the demands of the community.
Park Seonghyo, Chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, stated, "By uniting the intentions of public institutions in Daejeon to carry out social contribution activities, we were able to practice the value of coexistence with the local community," adding, "We will continue to pursue sustainable sharing activities that reflect the needs of the region."
