The Jeonnam Bio Industry Promotion Agency and the K-Biohealth Regional Center held the "K-Biohealth Early-Stage Entrepreneur Training Program Support Event" and a startup seminar on November 5 at the Gwangju Ramada Hotel to strengthen the local biohealth startup ecosystem.
More than 70 people, including biohealth businesspeople and early-stage entrepreneurs from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, attended the event to share the latest industry trends and practical investment strategies.
The event focused on changes in the advanced biohealth market across various sectors such as food, cosmetics, and regenerative medicine, as well as cases of building regional innovation models. The current status and future direction of a full-cycle support system-from startup and clinical trials to commercialization-centered around the K-Biohealth Regional Center, were also introduced.
The Jeonnam Bio Industry Promotion Agency plans to implement a range of new support initiatives next year, including the establishment of a public CDMO, the creation of a green bio development zone, and a global expansion program for nurturing companies.
In particular, the seminar featured special lectures for entrepreneurs to acquire practical investment attraction strategies and IR pitching know-how, as well as tailored networking events among participating companies, fostering substantial cooperation and growth.
Yoon Hoyul, Director of the Jeonnam Bio Industry Promotion Agency, emphasized, "Innovation and growth in the biohealth industry ultimately begin with people," and added, "We will actively support participating companies and entrepreneurs to become key players in Korea's biohealth industry."
