The Korea Student Aid Foundation (Chairman Bae Byungil) received the Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation at the 14th Korea Sharing Awards ceremony held at KBS in Yeouido on November 6.
The Korea Sharing Awards, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Community Chest of Korea, and the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), is the nation’s most prestigious award in the field of social contribution. The awards recognize individuals and organizations that have continuously contributed to improving public welfare in four areas: volunteering, material sharing, organ donation, and hope mentoring.

The Korea Student Aid Foundation was selected as the recipient of the Minister of Health and Welfare Commendation in the material sharing category, in recognition of its contributions to spreading a culture of sharing in local communities. Since its establishment in 2009, the foundation has been acknowledged for its efforts to address educational inequality among local children and youth, and for supporting university students’ housing costs through employee-led initiatives, all as part of its ongoing social contribution activities.
Kang Junhee, Executive Director of the Korea Student Aid Foundation, stated, “We are honored that the foundation’s ongoing efforts to foster a warm and caring local community have been recognized,” adding, “We will continue to work toward spreading the culture of sharing and promoting mutual growth within our communities.”
