The global fan platform Weverse will integrate its private chat service, 'Weverse DM,' with the Chinese music streaming platform QQ Music.
On November 5, QQ Music announced through its official Weibo account that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Weverse and will offer this service in an in-app format starting from the 18th.
QQ Music is operated by Tencent Music Entertainment (TME). With this integration, accessibility to Weverse for fans in China is expected to improve, and both artist fandoms and the Weverse user base are anticipated to expand.
Weverse DM is a chat service that allows fans and artists to communicate through private messages. It is currently used by groups such as Tomorrow X Together and Le Sserafim, as well as actors like Byun Wooseok and Lee Chaemin. The service supports automatic translation in 14 languages, making it accessible to international users.
A QQ Music representative stated, "With the launch of Weverse DM, Chinese fans can now communicate with artists more smoothly and conveniently. We are now able to provide music streaming, social networking, and interactive features all in one place."
A Weverse Company representative said, "By offering our core communication feature (Weverse DM) in partnership with a local Chinese partner, we have improved accessibility. We plan to expand our business in China in various ways to further enhance user convenience within the country."
