Mokpo City in South Jeolla Province received a donation of heating supplies for vulnerable groups from HD Hyundai Samho.
On November 5, the city announced that HD Hyundai Samho had designated a donation of 50 carbon electric mats worth 11 million won through the Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea.
This donation was made through the "1% Sharing Foundation," which is funded by HD Hyundai Samho employees who contribute 1% of their salaries. The foundation has been consistently engaged in social contribution activities every year. In July, it also delivered summer care packages to low-income households, continuing its warm support for the local community.
A representative from HD Hyundai Samho stated, "We hope this will provide at least some help to neighbors who are struggling to heat their homes due to financial difficulties."
A city official expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank the employees of HD Hyundai Samho for their continued acts of sharing every year. The donated items will be promptly delivered to households vulnerable to the cold so they can have a warm winter."
The donated electric mats will be distributed to vulnerable households, including seniors living alone and people with disabilities, through each local administrative welfare center.
