Most Used Equipment Among This Year’s Top 50 Players
Titleist Dominates Drivers, Irons, and Wedges
Odyssey Putters and L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Max Also Popular
Golf equipment companies place significant emphasis on tour player marketing, as strong performances by their affiliated athletes can greatly influence sales. In particular, these companies pay close attention to the United States Professional Golf Association (PGA) Tour, where the best players in the world compete. So, which clubs were used most frequently on the PGA Tour this year?
The most widely used driver on the 2025 PGA Tour was the Titleist GT3. This model is the most adjustable in the GT series. It features a new weight track positioned much closer to the face compared to the previous TSR3 model. While its compact, pear-shaped design may be challenging for amateur golfers, it is a preferred form among many tour professionals. Following the Titleist GT3, the Ping G440 LST and Titleist GT2 were also popular choices.

For irons, the Titleist T100 was the most selected model. The T-Series is one of the most successful lines, and the T100 stands out for its impressive short iron performance. It incorporates new, more aggressive grooves, providing increased spin and control. The T100 is regarded as one of the most premium irons available and has already demonstrated strong performance on global tours.
Following the T100, the TaylorMade P7CB, TaylorMade P7T, Titleist T200, Callaway Apex TCB, and Titleist 620 MB also received positive evaluations. Titleist is the most widely used iron brand on the PGA Tour, chosen by 39% of tour players this year. The second most popular brand accounted for 25%. Callaway, Srixon, Ping, TaylorMade, and Mizuno followed in the rankings.

Titleist also dominated the wedge category, with a 55% usage rate-more than four times that of the second-place competitor. The Vokey SM10 was the top pick among the Vokey line’s recent models. Vokey WedgeWorks and Vokey SM9 wedges were also favored by golfers. In addition to Vokey, tour players carried the Callaway Opus, Cleveland RTX Tour, Ping S159, and TaylorMade MG4 wedges in their bags.
Odyssey led the way in putters, with about one-third of PGA Tour players using an Odyssey model. Scotty Cameron, TaylorMade, and Ping putters were also popular among athletes. Recently, the L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Max putter has gained attention, with players such as Will Zalatoris (USA) and Adam Scott (Australia) favoring the brand.
The golf ball category is easy to predict: Titleist remains number one. The Titleist Pro V1x and Titleist Pro V1 were the most commonly used, with 72% of tour players teeing off with either the Pro V1x or Pro V1. This figure is seven times higher than the second most popular ball. Both are considered among the best premium golf balls available on the market. The Pro V1x provides a slightly firmer feel compared to the Pro V1.
