This large-scale mechanized unit field training exercise will involve a significant number of personnel and equipment, including tracked vehicles such as tanks and armored vehicles, as well as military vehicles and other equipment. The exercise will take place on major national and local roads in 13 cities and counties: Yangju, Pocheon, Dongducheon, Namyangju, Yangpyeong, Gapyeong, Yeoju, and Icheon in Gyeonggi Province; Hongcheon, Hoengseong, and Wonju in Gangwon Province; and Chungju and Eumseong in North Chungcheong Province.
The unit stated that, ahead of the exercise, some tracked vehicles such as tanks and armored vehicles, as well as military vehicles and equipment, will be deployed in advance to the training areas in Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and North Chungcheong Provinces starting from November 8.
The 7th Mobile Corps said, "During this large-scale mechanized unit field training exercise, the movement of a large number of military personnel, vehicles, tanks, and armored vehicles in the training areas may cause traffic congestion, noise, and dust." The unit requested, "For safety, we ask for residents' understanding and active cooperation, including refraining from approaching or overtaking military equipment and using detour routes."
In addition, to minimize inconvenience to residents during the training period, the unit will operate an on-site control headquarters composed of safety control teams and civilian damage control teams, as well as a resident inconvenience complaint center. Joint military-police traffic control posts will also be set up on major roads.
