This seminar has been organized to discuss key issues in accounting, taxation, and finance, as well as to analyze the latest trends in the game, entertainment, and media (E&M) industries. The event is based on the "2025 Game Start-up Guidebook," published annually by the Game Business Specialization Center at Samil PwC, which is comprised of experts in the gaming industry, in conjunction with G-Star.

With the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and the need for strategic responses to market changes emerging as core topics, AI is now a key tool in various development areas such as character design, background generation, story composition, and game balancing. The adoption of AI-based scaling technologies such as NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), as well as automation tools and scalable development methods, is accelerating the trend of simultaneously improving development speed and quality.

The seminar will consist of six sessions. In the first session, Park Junyoung, Partner at Samil PwC, will provide an overview of E&M industry outlooks, examining overall trends in the gaming industry, including the expanding influence of AI. In the second session, Partners Jang Eunjong and Jang Yongseok will explain tax strategies for game companies, focusing on key corporate tax deductions and credits, as well as considerations when establishing transfer pricing policies for overseas operations.

In the third session, Partner Sung Yunho will discuss the management of key performance indicators in the gaming industry, sharing methods for setting and managing performance metrics for game companies. In the fourth session, Partner Kim Changgyu will introduce listing strategies and practical considerations for overseas IPOs of game companies.

In the fifth session, Director Lee Kyungmin will present digital tools for efficient business planning through the introduction of an automated business planning platform for game companies. In the final, sixth session, Partner Lee Seungwook will outline AI and digital transformation strategies for game companies under the theme "AI and Digital Transformation in Corporate Finance."

Lee Jaehyuk, Partner and Leader of the Game and Virtual Asset Industry at Samil PwC, who planned the seminar, said, "With AI technology and global expansion strategies emerging as the core keywords for the gaming industry, we hope this seminar will provide industry stakeholders with practical insights and strategic direction."

Applications to participate in the seminar can be submitted through the Samil PwC website until November 10. No separate entry pass is required for attendance, and participation details will be individually provided only to those who pre-register.
