Nine Marching Bands to Participate
Various Side Events and Activities Planned
Yeosu City in South Jeolla Province (Mayor Chung Kimyung) announced that it will host the 'Yeosu Marching Festival,' one of the three major wind music festivals in Korea, at Ungcheon Waterfront Park at 6 p.m. on November 7, 2025.
This year marks the 25th edition of the festival, with nine marching bands participating to deliver high-quality music and wind instrument performances, promising a special and moving experience for both residents and tourists.
The festival will feature a variety of preliminary programs starting from noon. The festivities will kick off with the 'Traveling Marching Show' at 12:30 p.m. at Yeosu City Hall, followed by a 'Street Parade' around Ungcheon Waterfront Park at 5 p.m. The main performance will then take place on the special stage at Ungcheon Waterfront Park at 6 p.m.
In addition to the performances, side programs such as a flea market and hands-on activities will be available, allowing visitors to enjoy not only the shows but also various cultural experiences at the festival.
A Yeosu City official stated, "The outdoor wind music performance set against the backdrop of Yeosu's night sea will offer a unique opportunity to experience the city's charm," adding, "We hope that many residents and visitors will join in, enjoy, and come together in harmony at this festival."
