Mirae Asset Global Investments announced on November 6 that the net asset value of the 'TIGER Korea AI Power Equipment TOP3 Plus ETF' has surpassed 200 billion won.
According to the Korea Exchange, as of November 5, the net asset value of the TIGER Korea AI Power Equipment TOP3 Plus ETF stood at 229.2 billion won. Driven by strong investor interest in Korean power equipment, the ETF exceeded 200 billion won in net assets just 16 days after its initial listing on October 21.
The TIGER Korea AI Power Equipment TOP3 Plus ETF focuses its investments on ten Korean power equipment companies that are rapidly growing in the global market. Approximately 75% of the ETF's portfolio (as of the regular rebalancing date) is allocated to the "Big 3" companies in the power equipment sector: HD Hyundai Electric, Hyosung Heavy Industries, and LS ELECTRIC.
Recently, these companies released robust third-quarter results that exceeded market expectations. The TIGER Korea AI Power Equipment TOP3 Plus ETF has also maintained a steady upward trend in returns. As of November 5, its return since listing stands at 32.5%, ranking first among all domestically listed ETFs during the same period.
The power equipment industry is a technology-intensive sector that supplies key equipment-such as generators, transformers, and motors-essential for power generation, transmission, and distribution. Korean power equipment companies excel in technologies like ultra-high voltage transformers, HVDC technology, and advanced cooling and insulation. With timely capacity expansions enabling rapid delivery, these companies are achieving higher growth rates than global competitors, raising expectations for long-term growth.
Jung Hyun Jeong, Head of ETF Management at Mirae Asset Global Investments, stated, "A common feature in the earnings announcements of the Big 3 power equipment companies is a significant improvement in margins," adding, "The increased proportion of high value-added products such as ultra-large transformers has led to an improved profit structure."
