Lunit Integrates Volpara Under 'Lunit' Brand, Leaps Forward as AI Innovation Company

On November 6, Lunit, a medical artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced that it will integrate 'Volpara Health Technologies' (Volpara), which it acquired last year, under a single 'Lunit' brand. The company aims to build a global AI cancer diagnosis and treatment ecosystem.

This brand integration seeks to combine the expertise of both Lunit and Volpara to provide early detection and precision treatment services throughout the entire cancer care cycle, including screening, diagnosis, risk assessment, imaging analysis, and patient care.


To maximize the effects of the brand integration, Lunit will reorganize its global business structure. Volpara Health Technologies, the New Zealand-based parent company of Volpara, will change its name to 'Lunit International' and oversee global sales operations outside of the Americas, including Oceania, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Volpara Health, previously responsible for North American operations as Volpara's U.S. subsidiary, will relaunch as 'Lunit Americas' and manage sales in North America and Latin America. Both companies will become a subsidiary and a sub-subsidiary of Lunit, respectively, and will focus on expanding global sales activities and market reach.


In addition, Lunit will reassign its global sales personnel from headquarters to these two subsidiaries to maximize overseas revenue growth, while the headquarters will focus on AI research and development (R&D) innovation and new product development, thereby strengthening expertise within each organizational unit.


Following the brand integration, Lunit unveiled its new rebranding design. The unified Lunit logo features three colors-black, white, and teal-and incorporates new design elements into the heatmap and node patterns to reflect the company's strong commitment to conquering cancer.


Inspired by the heatmaps used in Lunit Insight and Lunit Scope solutions, the company redesigned its color patterns to express the hope that Lunit's technology will lead to early detection and precision treatment of cancer. The interconnected Lunit node pattern highlights the cohesion of the newly integrated organization and emphasizes collaboration with global partners.


Lunit will launch a new integrated website featuring the updated brand design, offering information about the combined AI solutions of both companies, as well as global conference presentations and research achievements published in international journals.
