Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced on November 6 that it has obtained a three-month exclusive use right for three coverage options under its "Good&Good Comprehensive Child Insurance Q."
The coverage options granted exclusive use rights this time include: ▲ Intensive care unit hospitalization benefits for high-risk pregnant women ▲ Diagnosis of spondylolisthesis ▲ Arthroscopy examination support benefit under the New Hi-Car Driver Injury Insurance, for a total of three items.
Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has enhanced its product to help reduce the growing burden of medical expenses throughout the life cycle, particularly for high-risk pregnancies, spinal disorders, and joint diseases. Over the past 10 years, the company has obtained exclusive use rights for 21 items in the children's insurance sector alone.
The "Intensive care unit hospitalization benefit for high-risk pregnant women" covers urgent conditions that threaten the health of both mother and fetus, such as preterm labor, obstetric hemorrhage, and high fever over 38 degrees Celsius. If a high-risk pregnant woman is admitted to an intensive care unit and receives treatment, up to 300,000 KRW is provided. The focus is on alleviating the initial medical expenses for high-risk pregnant women.
The "Diagnosis of spondylolisthesis" coverage applies the "Meyerding classification," a medical scale for assessing the degree of vertebral slippage, and pays insurance benefits ranging from 300,000 KRW to 5 million KRW depending on the grade, limited to the first occurrence. It also covers congenital spondylolisthesis, which can cause severe neurological symptoms.
Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance has newly added the "Major joint treatment benefit," which provides up to 300,000 KRW for arthroscopy examinations, to its New Hi-Car Driver Injury Insurance. This feature strengthens practical medical expense support for joint injuries that may occur in daily life by covering diagnosis, examination, and treatment of joint diseases.
A representative from Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance stated, "We will continue to identify various coverage gaps throughout the life cycle and strive to develop products that can reduce the financial burden on our customers."
