This support project, promoted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism through the National Sports Promotion Fund, aims to improve aging public sports facilities, ensure safe sports activities for users, and enhance user convenience.

Gimpo City, in cooperation with the Gimpo Urban Management Corporation, plans to inspect public sports facilities within the city and incorporate citizens' requests. The city will proceed with the replacement of air handling units and lockers at the Geolpo Multipurpose Gymnasium, built in 2006, and the Pungmu National Sports Center, built in 2013. The two projects will receive investments of 140 million won and 560 million won, respectively.

A Gimpo City official stated, "This national funding support is very meaningful, as it not only reduces the budget but also allows us to renovate aging public sports facilities, enhance their safety, and create a more pleasant sports environment, thereby contributing to the improvement of citizens' health."
