Recognized for Contributions to Sports and Charity
Now Entitled to Use the Title "Sir David Beckham"
David Beckham, the English football player, has been knighted by the British royal family. During the investiture ceremony held at Windsor Castle, the theme song from the globally popular Netflix film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" (K-Pop Demon Hunters) was played. On the 5th, Yonhap News, citing CNN and BBC, reported that Beckham was awarded the royal family's highest honor, a knighthood, at the investiture ceremony presided over by King Charles III at Windsor Castle in London, England. In recognition of his contributions to sports and charitable activities over the past several decades, Beckham can now use the title "Sir David Beckham."

During his career, Beckham was a world-renowned sports star, playing for prestigious European football clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid. After retiring in 2013, he served as a UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) Goodwill Ambassador, and in 2015, he established the "7 Fund," named after his Manchester United jersey number, to help children in need. At the investiture ceremony, Beckham wore an outfit designed by his wife, Victoria Beckham, a former member of the legendary British girl group Spice Girls and now a fashion designer. Beckham expressed his feelings, saying, "A knighthood is beyond anything I ever thought I could achieve."
Another highlight of the day was the K-pop (K-POP) music that played as Beckham received his knighthood. In footage released by local media, the royal band performed "Golden," the theme song from the animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters." The reason "Golden" was chosen as the official background music was not disclosed. The Daily Mail speculated that the choice of "Golden" might be linked to Victoria Beckham's past nickname for her husband, "Goldenballs."
