This event is designed to share vivid stories of growth through challenges and failures, focusing on the experiences of senior members of the Korea Economic Association Young Leaders Club (YLC) who are active in youth entrepreneurship and advanced engineering fields. One hundred university students from the 48th class of YLC will participate in the offline event, while anyone interested in the lectures can join online.
YLC is an economic education program for university students operated by the Korea Economic Association since 2002. As of the second half of this year (48th class), 323 university students from seven branches nationwide are participating. The cumulative number of graduates has reached approximately 6,000.
This lecture series will feature Min-Ki Kim, CEO of Ajungdang (YLC 24th class), and Chang-Hwan Shin, professor at Korea University (YLC 9th class). CEO Kim will share the secrets behind the rapid growth of “Ajungdang,” a lifestyle service platform that achieved annual sales of about 120 billion won within four years of its founding, under the theme “Fail Fast for Rapid Growth.” Professor Shin, under the theme “Semiconductors, the Future, and Entrepreneurship,” will discuss the direction of semiconductor innovation in the AI era and the spirit of challenge required of engineers, drawing from his expertise as a semiconductor engineering specialist.
Those wishing to participate online can submit an application on the Korea Economic Association website by November 11 and will receive a participation link via text message. The lectures will also be available for anyone to watch without pre-registration through the Korea Economic Association’s YouTube channel, FKI TV, starting at 3:00 p.m. on November 13.
