Namyangju City Holds All District and Neighborhood Leaders Workshop in Sister City Yeongwol

Over 500 Participants
Special Lecture by Mayor and Cultural Tours Held

Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Kwangdeok) announced on the 22nd that it had successfully held the "2025 Namyangju City All District and Neighborhood Leaders Workshop" over two days, on the 20th and 21st, in the Yeongwol area of Gangwon Province.

Namyangju City Holds All District and Neighborhood Leaders Workshop in Sister City Yeongwol Joo Kwang-deok, mayor of Namyangju City, attended the "2025 Namyangju City All District and Neighborhood Leaders Workshop" held over two days on the 20th and 21st in the Yeongwol area of Gangwon Province and delivered a greeting. This workshop was organized to strengthen the capabilities of district and neighborhood leaders who work at the forefront of local administration, and to provide a venue for mutual communication and unity.


More than 500 district and neighborhood leaders participated in the event, which featured a variety of programs including health education, a special lecture by the mayor, and tours of local attractions, centered around the sister city of Yeongwol.


The leaders broadened their cultural understanding by visiting regional attractions such as Jangneung in Yeongwol and Uirimji in Jecheon. During the evening dinner, they encouraged one another and reinforced their unity. In particular, Mayor Joo Kwangdeok’s special lecture, which shared the direction of the 8th popularly elected administration and his citizen-centered administrative philosophy, was met with an enthusiastic response.


Mayor Joo Kwangdeok expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you for your dedication as representatives of more than 660 villages and for joining us on Namyangju City’s path to super growth." He emphasized, "As representatives of the citizens, I hope you will continue to deliver the voices from the field vividly."


A city official stated, "This workshop was not only an opportunity to thank the district and neighborhood leaders for their hard work, but also a meaningful time to prepare for the future together. We will continue to maintain close cooperation with the district and neighborhood leaders, who are reliable partners in city administration."
