Suncheon City to Hold "2025 Daengdaeng Suncheon" at Ocheon Green Square on the 25th

Suncheon City will hold the healing running festival "2025 Daengdaeng Suncheon," where dogs and their owners run together, at Ocheon Green Square area at 1 p.m. on the 25th. Provided by Suncheon City

Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province will hold the healing running festival "2025 Daengdaeng Suncheon," where dogs and their owners run together, at the Ocheon Green Square area at 1 p.m. on the 25th.

According to the city on the 22nd, "2025 Daengdaeng Suncheon," held under the slogan "Be Happy in Suncheon," will feature an event where dogs and their owners run a total of 4 kilometers along the city’s waterfront, covering the route from Ocheon Green Square to Green Island and Dongcheon.

Advance registration for "2025 Daengdaeng Suncheon" is available until the 23rd through the official Suncheon City website and social media channels. The event is limited to the first 150 teams (one dog per team), and the participation fee is 10,000 won per team. Additional on-site registration will also be available on the day of the event.

All participants will receive a commemorative medal and a welcome kit (including snacks, stickers, a bag, and more). On-site, there will also be a "Lucky Puppy Raffle Event" offering prizes such as accommodation vouchers and pet supplies.

A city official stated, "2025 Daengdaeng Suncheon is an urban festival where citizens and their companion animals can enjoy together. It will offer a special experience for dogs and their owners in a healing space that harmonizes the ecological city and nature." The official added, "Going forward, we will continue to develop Suncheon as a pet-friendly tourism city where not only pet owners but also non-pet owners can share happiness together with the citizens."
