NongHyup Financial Group Steps Up to Help Rural Communities During Harvest Season

Jaeho Lee and 30 Employees Volunteer in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province

NongHyup Financial Group announced on October 21 that about 30 people, including Jaeho Lee, Vice President of Strategic Planning at NongHyup Financial Group, and a volunteer team of employees, participated in a rural volunteer activity to help with farm work during the harvest season in Ildong-myeon, Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.

This volunteer effort was organized to address the labor shortage in rural areas during the harvest season. The group of executives and employees worked hard at an apple farm, harvesting apples, picking leaves, installing reflective panels, and cleaning up the environment. On the same day, Kwangsoo Kim, Head of Ildong NongHyup, and other local NongHyup employees also joined the work to lend their support.

Vice President Lee stated, "It was a meaningful time to help farmers struggling with labor shortages and to communicate while working together with our employees," adding, "NongHyup Financial Group will further strengthen its support for agriculture and rural communities and its cooperative efforts with the local community, guided by the belief that 'the hearts of farmers are the will of heaven.'"
