Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on October 22 that it will hold the 'DMZ Peace Trail Pet Trekking' event at the Ribigyo Historical and Cultural Park in Papyeong-myeon on November 8.
This event is designed to help citizens step away from their busy daily routines, walk along the Imjingang riverside with their pets to promote health, and gain useful information through a pet etiquette lecture.
Main programs include: ▲Walking the 9th course of the 'DMZ Peace Trail' with pets ▲Experience zones (making paw print picture frames for pets, making pinwheel hairpins, traditional games, pet waste exchange station) ▲Photo spots (photo zones) ▲Pet etiquette lectures, and a variety of other hands-on activities.
Participants will receive souvenirs such as pet snacks, waste bags, and bottled water. Pet owners who complete all nine courses with their pets will also be awarded a completion certificate.
Applications can be submitted through the Paju Urban Tourism Corporation website until October 31. The participation fee is 10,000 won per team, and each team may include up to three people with one dog. For more details, inquiries can be made by phone.
