This agreement was initiated to strengthen support for abused children and to improve public awareness regarding the prevention of child abuse. Over the next three years, approximately 7.5 billion won in funding will be provided to support the following initiatives: the provision of 45 dedicated counseling vehicles, the remodeling of 21 shelters for abused children, and the organization of capacity-building camps for 300 counselors at child protection agencies.

Since 2014, Hyundai Motor Group has been running its "i-CARE" social contribution program to support abused children and prevent child abuse, providing approximately 8.5 billion won in operational support to date. The program consists of three main initiatives: "i-CARE Car," which provides dedicated vehicles equipped for counseling to address the lack of counseling spaces in remote and transportation-vulnerable areas; "i-CARE Home," which remodels shelters for abused children where improving living conditions is difficult; and "i-CARE Up," which offers healing and capacity-building support for counselors at child protection agencies experiencing work fatigue.

President Kim Sung stated, "If various organizations join forces, we can extend a warm helping hand to children suffering from abuse," adding, "Hyundai Motor Group will work together to build a hopeful future where children can smile brightly and pursue their dreams."
