The 'Stroking Walk', organized annually by BISTEP, is an eco-friendly ESG activity that combines walking with picking up litter. In the first half of this year, it was held in conjunction with the Haeundae Sand Festival, covering the section from Haeundae Beach to Dongbaek Island.

This event took place in Naru Park, which was established to commemorate the 2005 APEC Summit. Participants walked a total of 7.7 kilometers along the Suyeong River, collecting and sorting waste for recycling.

About 100 executives and staff members from 11 organizations belonging to the Centum District ESG Council participated in the event, including the Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion, BEXCO, Busan Design Promotion Agency, Busan Film Commission, Korea Foundation for Media and Audience Busan Center, APEC Climate Center, Busan Research and Development Special Zone Headquarters of the Innopolis Foundation, Busan Cinema Center, Korean Film Council, Korea Press Foundation Busan Branch, and Korea Youth Counseling and Welfare Institute.

Kim Youngbu, President of BISTEP, stated, "This Stroking Walk aligns with the core values of APEC 2025 KOREA, which is themed 'Sustainable Tomorrow.' It was a meaningful occasion where local public institutions practiced ESG management together," adding, "We will continue to expand environmental conservation activities and ESG value promotion projects in connection with the local community."
