Jang Donghyuk Launches Full-Scale Offensive Against Ruling Party: "If the People Power Party Disappears, the Door to Freedom Will Close" Yonhap News Agency

At the "National Rally Against Judicial Destruction and Legislative Dictatorship" held on Sejong-daero in Seoul that day, Representative Jang characterized the current administration as a "dictatorship" and called for his supporters to unite.

Representative Jang argued, "Right now, the Democratic Party of Korea is trying to eliminate the People Power Party and open the final door to dictatorship. If the People Power Party disappears, the door to dictatorship will be thrown wide open, and the door to freedom will be closed forever." He emphasized, "The People Power Party is the last shield of liberal democracy and the people's final weapon. I will take the lead and fight."

He also directly criticized the current government's foreign and security policies. Referring to President Lee Jaemyung's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, he condemned, "He went to the United Nations and acknowledged North Korea's possession of nuclear weapons and sided with Kim Jongun's two-state theory." He went on to sharply criticize, "The judiciary, the legislature, the media, diplomacy, and even national security are collapsing. All of this is because of Lee Jaemyung alone."

Representative Jang reminded the audience that September 28, the day of the rally, marks the anniversary of the recapture of Seoul during the Korean War, stating, "The victory on that day was the result of the people's determined will to defend the nation," and asserted, "Now, once again, we need that strength and unity."
