Woori Financial Group Immediately Activates Emergency Response System Following National Information Resources Service Data Center Fire

Woori Financial Group announced on the 28th that it immediately activated a group-wide emergency response system following the fire at the National Information Resources Service Data Center that occurred on the evening of the 26th. Centered around the Group Crisis Response Council, the company explained that it is working to minimize damage by checking the system impact according to its manual, providing customer guidance, and preparing alternative measures.


Specifically, the group is implementing various measures, including supporting transactions using alternative identification, and strengthening customer guidance through multiple channels such as the Woori WON Banking app, as well as the websites and call centers of its banking, securities, and insurance subsidiaries.


In addition, the group has completed preparations for supplementary procedures at branches and emergency IT development in case system recovery is delayed, and plans to provide swift support at the group level.


A Woori Financial Group representative stated, "We will review the status of customer services again at a meeting before business opens on the 29th," adding, "We will continue a company-wide response with customer service stability as our top priority to minimize inconvenience."
