Egyptian Wrestler Pulls Two 700-Ton Ships with His Teeth... Sets New Record

Successful World Record Challenge in the Red Sea...
If Certified, Will Be Listed in Guinness
"Next Goal Is to Pull a 263,000-Ton Submarine"

An Egyptian wrestler has attempted to break the Guinness World Record by pulling a 700-ton ship in the Red Sea using only the strength of his teeth.

According to the Associated Press on the 27th (local time), Ashraf Mahrous, 44, successfully pulled a 700-ton ship floating on the sea by connecting a rope to it and using his teeth, in front of hundreds of citizens on the beach of Hurghada, a resort city on the Red Sea coast. He also succeeded in the challenge of pulling two ships, each weighing 1,150 tons, at the same time.

Immediately after the challenge, he said, "By the grace of God, I was able to show that I am the strongest man in the world." He added that he plans to submit videos and photos of the event to Guinness World Records.

The current official record is for pulling a 614-ton ship, set in 2018. If Mahrous's record is officially recognized, it will be registered as a new world record.

Mahrous, also known by the nickname "Kabonga," stands 190 cm tall and weighs 155 kg. He underwent rigorous training and maintained a strict diet for this challenge. He explained that he performed intense physical training three times a day for two hours each session, and maintained a high-protein, iron-rich diet, consuming at least 12 eggs, two chickens, and 5 kg of fish daily.

Before the challenge, Mahrous emphasized the importance of mental connection, saying, "I talk to the object I have to pull first." He added, "It is important to tell the ship, 'Today, it's either you or me,' and to believe that the object moves as if it is part of my own body."

In March of this year, Mahrous set a record for pulling a 279-ton train with his teeth, making it the heaviest train ever pulled using only teeth. He also holds world records for pulling the most vehicles and for pulling the heaviest locomotive. Last year, he drew attention by breaking and eating 11 raw eggs in 30 seconds.

Mahrous has set his next goal as pulling a 263,000-ton submarine. He stated that he plans to request cooperation from the Egyptian presidential office to achieve this.
