Dongjak District in Seoul (Mayor Park Ilha) announced on September 28 that it had launched an emergency response to minimize inconvenience for residents after a fire broke out in the data center of the National Intelligence Resources Management Agency in Daejeon on September 26, causing major online government services such as Government24 to be suspended.

Dongjak District Activates Immediate Emergency Response System After National Intelligence Resources Management Agency Fire Park Ilha, mayor of Dongjak District, is inspecting countermeasures related to the National Intelligence Resources Management Agency at Daebang-dong Community Center in Dongjak District, Seoul, on the 27th. Provided by Dongjak District.

Treating this incident as an emergency, the district convened an urgent countermeasure meeting at 9 a.m. on September 27 and immediately activated an emergency work system. Three staff members, including a person in charge, have been assigned to each community center to promptly process various civil documents offline at service counters, as online issuance is unavailable, ensuring the continued provision of administrative services. Situation managers have also been assigned to each department at the district office to maintain ongoing preparedness.

According to the district, the Care SOS support services (such as meal provision and temporary home care) are operating normally using a voucher system rather than the administrative network, and certificates for basic livelihood security recipients are being issued manually, so there has been no disruption in welfare services.

The current status of civil service processing and recovery efforts can be checked in real time on the district office's official blog, and information on the issuance of various certificates as well as the distribution of the second round of livelihood recovery consumer coupons is available through the community centers.

Mayor Park Ilha of Dongjak District stated, "We are focusing all administrative resources to ensure that residents do not experience inconvenience due to this incident," and added, "We will do our utmost to restore the system as soon as possible by maintaining close coordination with the central government regarding the recovery process."
