Gwangju has set the vision of becoming a "carbon-neutral, energy self-sufficient city" and is an area with a high level of interest in eco-friendly energy, as evidenced by its active policies supporting the installation of self-consumption solar power systems in single-family homes.

The main products include "solar modules" and "inverters," which convert electricity generated by solar power systems into usable energy. In addition, the store will offer "portable solar modules" that do not require installation, "energy storage systems (power banks)," and "solar lighting" for home illumination and landscaping. These products are supplied by reliable brands such as Hanwha Qcells, Dongyang ENP, and EcoFlow, each of which holds the top market share in their respective fields of modules, inverters, and power banks both domestically and internationally.

Lotte Hi-Mart has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hanwha Qcells, an eco-friendly energy solutions company, to promote the expansion of eco-friendly energy distribution. Through this MOU, the two companies have pledged to work together to raise customer awareness of eco-friendly energy and to further expand the distribution of solar power products.

Customers who wish to install solar power products can visit Lotte Hi-Mart stores to see the products in person and receive customized consultations from Lotte Hi-Mart’s expert advisors, covering everything from product selection to installation. After-sales service is also convenient. Non-installed products come with a free warranty ranging from 1 to 5 years, while installed products are covered for 5 to 12 years.

Going forward, Lotte Hi-Mart plans to carefully select commercial districts with a high proportion of residential homes or strong demand for solar energy and expand the number of stores offering these products to five locations within this year and up to 50 locations in the future.

Park Junghwan, Head of Home and Kitchen Appliances at Lotte Hi-Mart, stated, "As interest in eco-friendly and renewable energy continues to rise, demand for solar power products both domestically and internationally is also increasing. Through Lotte Hi-Mart, customers will be able to easily and conveniently access reliable products from selection to installation and after-sales service."
