Gumi City Hosts the "Chunha Autumn Employment Festival"

Over 2,000 Job Seekers Participate, One-on-One On-Site Interviews Held
Various Programs Offered for Young Job Seekers

On September 16, the city of Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, successfully concluded the "2025 Chunha Autumn Employment Festival" at the Park Chung Hee Gymnasium.

The event was co-hosted by North Gyeongsang Province, Gumi City, and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and co-organized by employment-related organizations and university job plus centers. It attracted significant interest, with over 2,000 local job seekers participating.

Thirty-five major local companies, including Jahwa Electronics, Avatec, and Olgot, took part in the event, conducting one-on-one on-site interviews with plans to hire 204 people. A total of 600 job seekers participated in the interviews, and the final number of hires will be determined after each company conducts a second round of interviews and additional procedures.

Twenty-eight diverse supplementary programs were offered for job seekers, providing tailored employment support services such as job counseling, interview expense support, resume and cover letter consulting, and information on the National Employment Support System. Experiential booths, including a job tarot booth, a personal color booth, and a resume photo booth, received particularly positive feedback from job seekers.

As a special program for local youth, HR managers from SK Siltron and LIG Nex1 were invited to host the "Youth Dream Talk Concert." The lectures and Q&A sessions, which focused on understanding the semiconductor and defense industries and their future prospects, were very well received by young job seekers interested in these fields.

Vice Mayor Jung Sunghyun stated, "This employment festival was not just a recruitment event, but a valuable opportunity for youth and the local community to prepare for tomorrow together," adding, "We will continue to pursue various policies that foster local talent and revitalize Gumi's economy."
