Dongducheon City Hosts 17th Dongducheon City Jokgu Association President's Cup Jokgu Tournament

The 17th Dongducheon City Jokgu Association President's Cup Jokgu Tournament, hosted and organized by the Dongducheon City Jokgu Association (President Kim Seongyong), was held successfully on September 14 at the jokgu court of Dongducheon City Sports Complex.

This tournament was organized to allow local jokgu enthusiasts to compete, foster unity, and promote health. A total of 24 teams and over 100 players and officials from Dongducheon City and various parts of northern Gyeonggi Province participated, engaging in intense competition.

The matches were divided into general, 40s, and 50s divisions. The participating athletes delivered impressive performances and demonstrated remarkable determination, creating many inspiring moments. In particular, the finals featured a thrilling contest that drew enthusiastic responses from the audience.

During the opening ceremony, Dongducheon City Mayor Park Hyungdeok stated, "I hope that all of you, who maintain your health and share friendships through sports, will become a source of vitality for our community." He added, "Dongducheon City will continue to actively support the promotion of sports for all and strive to foster a healthy local sports culture."
