On September 16, Gwangsan District in Gwangju announced that it will implement a "Flood Barrier Installation Support Project" to prevent flooding damage caused by heavy rainfall.
The flood barrier installation support is intended to prevent rainwater from entering building entrances, and is available for homes, commercial properties, and factories that have suffered damage from heavy rainfall. To be eligible, the damage history must be registered and confirmed in the National Disaster Management System (NDMS), and households affected by heavy rainfall in July and August of this year will be given priority.
The maximum support amount is 3 million won per location (including a 10% self-payment), and applications can be submitted in person at the Gwangsan District Citizen Safety Division until September 30.
