Goheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin) announced on September 16 that it had held a report meeting on new major work policies for 2026, presided over by Governor Gong Youngmin, on the 15th.


This meeting was organized to review a total of 227 new policies identified by 25 departments, examining the necessity and purpose of each project, budget scale, and ripple effects, and to discuss concrete implementation plans.

In particular, these new policies focus on administrative innovation by ensuring that residents can tangibly feel the benefits, contributing to budget savings, and maximizing work efficiency.


Key initiatives include the continued development of themed Goheung Stay programs, the Goheung Food Festa featuring local cuisine, support for regional growth linked to technological self-reliance of aerospace companies, operation of a pilot area for the Goheung Educational Development Special Zone, management of the Goheung County Sky Park, the 3033 Project for the distribution of solar panels in homes to reduce electricity costs, and the construction of the second parking tower in Doyang-eup.


The identified policies will be further refined, with similar projects integrated and budget allocations reviewed, before being incorporated into the major work plan for 2026. In addition, the county plans to identify more policies that can be applied to the new government’s national agenda.


Governor Gong Youngmin stated, "For the implementation of the 2026 work plan, it is important to both identify new initiatives in line with the new government’s policy direction and to revise and supplement existing projects. We will actively secure national and provincial funding to reduce costs and pursue low-cost, high-efficiency policies."


He added, "I ask all departments to work together so that the successful completion of the 8th popularly elected administration can lead to visible changes and development in Goheung through concrete achievements."
