This agreement was established to create an environment where parents of newborns can raise their children in better health, and to expand a family-friendly residential environment, thereby contributing to maintaining Changwon's population of one million. The participating medical institutions have agreed to provide special discounts on comprehensive health checkups as part of their social contribution activities aimed at promoting citizens' health, improving quality of life, and advancing the local community.

Changwon Special City plans to continue promotional and administrative support to ensure the smooth implementation of this agreement.

Parents of newborns (within one year of birth) who wish to receive these benefits can present their resident registration certificate to receive special discounts on comprehensive health checkups at the four medical institutions. Jang Geumyong, acting mayor of Changwon Special City, stated, "The issue of low birth rates is not merely about population decline, but a crucial challenge directly linked to the region's future. I hope this agreement will allow parents of newborns to experience tangible benefits from comprehensive health checkups and serve as a stepping stone for Changwon to become a city where it is good to give birth and raise children."

He added, "I thank the local medical institutions for participating in this social contribution agreement and look forward to more institutions joining in the future. Changwon Special City will continue to expand family-friendly policies that citizens can truly feel, through close cooperation with the local community."
