On September 16, Daesang announced that its global food brand Ofood will launch three types of tablet-form seasoning, "Coin Broth," which allow consumers to easily prepare Korean-style soup dishes.

Daesang noted that, with the growing popularity of K-food, there is an increasing global demand for making Korean cuisine at home. In response, the company has introduced a convenient seasoning that preserves authentic flavors while simplifying complex cooking processes. "Coin Broth" enables consumers to achieve a deep and rich broth flavor with just a single tablet, eliminating the need to prepare and simmer a variety of ingredients for a long time. The product has already received a positive response in the domestic market.

The new product line consists of three varieties: Anchovy, Vegetable, and Green Chili. It will be launched primarily in Western markets, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. Each tablet is individually packaged for hygienic use, and users can easily prepare a broth base in just three minutes by simply adding it to boiling water.

"Coin Broth" is highly versatile, suitable not only for Korean soups but also for local dishes such as soups and stews. The umami-rich Anchovy variety pairs well with oil-based pasta, while the clean-tasting Vegetable variety is ideal for vegetable soups or couscous. The Green Chili variety, made with Korean Cheongyang chili peppers, delivers a refreshing and spicy flavor, adding heat to seafood stews or pasta dishes.
